“The government defends the middle class, actively supports the citizens and is on the side of society,” Development Minister Takis Theodorikakos said on SKAI television on Thursday, in response to a question about high increases in lifelong health insurance premiums. “We have asked that there should not be increases of 15% this year and announcements have already started concerning increases of 7%, a fact that satisfies us,” he added.
He said that, based on the new amendment tabled by the Development Ministry on Thursday, both insurance companies and private clinics must publicly announce the prices of the provided services and the the changes in premiums for each health insurance product.
