“Greece has consistently and as a matter of principle supported adherence to international law and the Charter of the United Nations and condemned any use of force or the threat of force against sovereign states,” government spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis stressed on Monday, referring to the prime minister’s participation via videoconference in the European leaders’ summit organized by Kiev.
The summit is organised on the occasion of the third anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
“The only solution is to end the deadly conflicts and establish a generally acceptable, just and lasting peace for Ukraine,” he emphasized.
The government spokesperson also referred to the launch of the “Tourism for All” platform, aiming to support citizens and vulnerable social groups while strengthening domestic tourism by offering more opportunities for affordable holidays throughout the country.
He added that in order to strengthen mountain and winter tourism, “there will be an increased subsidy for the period from the date of issuance of the digital cards until 30/4/2025 as well as from 1/10/2025 to 31/12/2025. Also, increased amounts are provided for vulnerable population groups, such as pensioners, families with three and more children, single-parent families, people with disabilities and parents of children with disabilities.”
He also announced a cabinet meeting on Wednesday, February 26, at 11:00, chaired by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
