The Pancretan Association of America is organizing a three-day Cretan Dance Teaching Conference in New York with the support of the Region of Crete. More than 60 new dance instructors from member associations across the United States will participate in the conference during the weekend of March 14, 2025.
The goal of the conference is to equip participants with effective dance teaching techniques while providing them with the historical and cultural background of each Cretan dance. This will enable them to return to their local associations and teach with greater depth and accuracy.
A heartfelt thank you to the local Cretan associations of the greater New York area for hosting this event.
The workshops will begin on Saturday, March 15, at 10 a.m. at the Omonia Cretan Association. That evening, a dance event will take place at 8 p.m. at the Minos Cretan Association. Classes will resume the following day at the Omonia Cretan Association.
