Join Delaware County Press Club members and guests for a fun, lively luncheon with lifestyle influencer Pat Nogar, president of Living Well with Pat Nogar, and The Cake Ladies, bakers of liqueur infused cakes, as they share insights into the role lifestyle plays in business and culture, and how a rocky economy could be the right time to pursue a dream.
Nogar, a member of Les Dames d’Escoffier, an invitation-only international organization of women leaders in food, fine beverages, and hospitality, recently delivered a TEDx Talk on “The Power of the Table,” discussing the role of the table in fostering relationships in family, community, and business, and how the intersection of food and culture are related.
The Cake Ladies, Carole, Sue, and Kathy, are sisters who got together after the 9/11 terrorist attacks to take a serious look at their future and decided the time was right to follow their dream of working together. The route they chose was to introduce Sue’s Amazing Amaretto Cake to audiences ranging from farmer’s markets to Rachel Ray. Their book “Cakewalk: A Fully Baked Memoir” takes the reader along on their eventful journey. The book will be available for purchase. The Cake Ladies Full Spirited Flavours cakes will be served while they fill guests in on their adventures.

The price includes a buffet featuring tossed salad, penne pasta in light tomato basil sauce, vegetable medley, special chicken dish, rolls and butter, and samples of Spirited Flavours liquor cakes.
As a courtesy to the venue, reservations are recommended but guests may also pay by cash, check, or credit card at the door.

Since the development at Ellis Preserve is quite large and Luigi & Giovanni’s Cafe at Ellis Preserve IS NOT visible from the street, here are detailed directions to help get you there: When traveling on West Chester Pike from Upper Darby towards West Chester, you’ll pass the Ellis Preserve Main Line Health building on your right. Once past MLH, turn right at the light into the Ellis Preserve parking lot entrance across from CVS/Uno Pizza. You’ll see SAP on your left. Follow the entrance around to parking lot area 3801. Turn right into lot 3801 and go straight through the lot until the end. Luigi & Giovanni’s Cafe at Ellis Preserve will be in front of you on the right. There is a patio with a grill and shrubs around it.
