The Metropolis of New Jersey – North Region recently hosted a powerful evening of recognition and unity on Monday, May 12, 2025, at the prestigious Venetian in Garfield, New Jersey. This memorable event brought together clergy, community leaders, and dedicated parishioners to honor those who exemplify unwavering commitment to the Greek Orthodox Church and the Greek-American community.

This celebration of service highlighted the tireless dedication of individuals who contribute to the Church and the Omogeneia with love, faith, and a spirit of community. The evening was a true testament to the selfless leadership, generosity, and philotimo that define the honorees’ service to the Church and society.
Among the distinguished honorees was Dimitrios Panagiotopoulos, Esq., a devoted member of Koimisis Tis Theotokou in Holmdel, NJ, and co-owner of the Grand Marquis in Old Bridge, New Jersey. Dimitrios is widely respected for his leadership, generosity, and unwavering commitment to his faith and community. His dedicated service to the Church, marked by acts of kindness and sincere hospitality, has made a lasting impact on the Greek Orthodox community. Dimitrios’ embodiment of philotimo – the Greek virtue of honor, respect, and pride in doing good – inspires those around him and reflects the core values of the Greek Orthodox faith.
