The Pan Laconian Federation proudly honored Mr. Demetrios (Dimitri) Hios for his exceptional service and longstanding dedication as a past president of the organization. The award was formally presented by Mr. Kostas Koutrakos and Mr. George Marafatsos, both esteemed leaders within the Federation.
The presentation took place during the 89th Annual Dance of the Laconian Society of Washington, DC, a vibrant celebration of Laconian heritage that drew an impressive gathering of 240 attendees. The evening was filled with warmth, pride, and unity, reflecting the enduring strength of the Laconian community in the nation’s capital.
In addition to his devoted service to the Pan Laconian Federation, Mr. Hios has been a steadfast supporter of the Hellenic American National Council (HANC), where he previously served as Secretary and Vice President. His contributions to both organizations have left an indelible mark on the Greek-American community, earning him deep respect and admiration.
