Fifth District AHEPA Family Cancer Research Foundation Announces Newly Elected Board of Directors, Approaches $1.5 Million Milestone, and 2026 Annual Gala
New Jersey – The Fifth District AHEPA Family Cancer Research Foundation proudly announces the election of its newly appointed Board of Directors, reaffirming its commitment to advancing life saving cancer research and supporting innovative medical breakthroughs.

Chairman Evellyn Tsiadis expressed gratitude to outgoing Chairman Tom Sulich for his visionary leadership and years of dedicated service, which strengthened the Foundation’s mission and expanded its impact in funding critical cancer research initiatives.
The Foundation is approaching a milestone of $1.5 million in total donations, with 100% of all funds raised directed exclusively to cancer research, a testament to the organization’s integrity, transparency, and focused mission.
Through the generosity of supporters, the Foundation has recently donated research grants to leading institutions:
• Weill Cornell Medicine
• Fox Chase Cancer Center
• Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey
These grants support cutting-edge research aimed at advancing scientific discovery and giving hope to patients and families affected by cancer.

2026 Annual Gala Celebration
The Foundation’s Annual Gala Celebration, its primary fundraising event, will be held on November 7, 2026, at The Pines Manor in Edison, NJ.
This signature evening brings together researchers, survivors, community leaders, and dedicated supporters to celebrate progress in cancer research and honor the lives impacted by it. The Gala is a powerful reminder that through unity, generosity, and scientific innovation, meaningful strides continue in the fight against cancer.
