MOONACHIE, N.J. celebrated the achievements and enduring contributions of distinguished individuals, organizations, and students during its 13th Annual Awards Banquet on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at The Graycliff in Moonachie, New Jersey.
Hosted by Federation President Dr. Peter Stavrianidis and the organization’s Board of Directors, the evening brought together members of the Greek-American community to recognize outstanding leadership, philanthropy, and service while reaffirming the Federation’s commitment to preserving Hellenic heritage and investing in future generations.
The evening’s highest honors included the presentation of the Alexander the Great Community Service Award to Pan Gregorian Enterprises, Inc. and the P.G.E.I. of America Charitable Foundation, Inc. in recognition of their longstanding dedication to charitable initiatives and meaningful contributions to the community.
The Alexander the Great Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to George A. Tsougarakis, Esq., honoring his exceptional professional accomplishments and decades of distinguished leadership and service to the Hellenic-American community.
In addition to recognizing established leaders, the Federation also celebrated the next generation by awarding scholarships and academic honors to four outstanding students:
- Rafaella Foteni Lambrinos
- Zoe Stella Mylonakis
- Alyson Michaels
- Valentina Francesca Malo
The student awards highlighted the Federation’s ongoing mission to encourage academic excellence, leadership, and a strong appreciation for Greek heritage among young Greek Americans.
“The annual awards banquet is one of the Federation’s most meaningful traditions,” said Dr. Peter Stavrianidis, President of the Hellenic Federation of New Jersey. “It provides an opportunity to recognize those whose dedication, generosity, and leadership have strengthened our community while inspiring future generations to continue building upon that legacy.”
The 13th Annual Awards Banquet reflected the Hellenic Federation of New Jersey’s continued commitment to honoring individuals and organizations whose work embodies the values of service, philanthropy, education, and community leadership. The evening concluded with fellowship among attendees as they celebrated the accomplishments of this year’s distinguished honorees and scholarship recipients.
