The American Hellenic Institute (AHI) organized its second annual “Greek Heritage Night” at the Phillies on June 17, 2015. Fans watched the Phillies play the Baltimore Orioles.  Attended by over 500 Greek-Americans from all over the Greater Philadelphia area, the night was a great success.  The St. Luke Olympians joined by the Phillie Phanatic performed several traditional Greek folk dances for the audience.  Elena Stavrakas sang the national anthems.  It was quite the night for the Greek-American community of Philadelphia.  To top it off, Philadelphia’s finest, Chris Papadeas and Despina Sourias, got engaged in the fourth inning and Mr. & Mrs. Peter Doulis of Vineland, N.J. celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary. The event was hosted in conjunction with the Federation of Hellenic-American Societies of Philadelphia, the Hellenic News of America and Cosmos Philly.
