From sun and sea, to history and hospitality, to food and wine…it had me at yiá sas! From sun and sea, to history and hospitality, to food and wine…it had me at yiá sas!

It was on my first visit that the idea for KeeKee’s Big Adventures came to life, standing on top of the majestic Acropolis admiring the Parthenon. So it’s only fitting that the latest book in the KeeKee’s Big Adventures children’s picture book series is Athens, Greece.

The books feature KeeKee, the adventurous calico kitty, traveling the world in her hot air balloon. As she lands in each exciting and exotic destination, she immerses herself in the local language, culture, history, food and traditions, and takes her readers along with her. KeeKee’s Greek adventure takes her to the Parthenon, Plaka, Plato and so much more!

The Greek community has made me and KeeKee feel part of the family, from the Launch Event at the Embassy of Greece in Washington, DC to the invitations present at Greek Schools. The joy they’ve shared over the book demonstrates the great warmth and generosity of the Greek people.

As Greece continues to promote itself as a top world tourist destination, my dream is that KeeKee’s Big Adventures in Athens, Greece serves as a fun kid’s guide to highlight the country as a wonderful family destination, capturing the fun, education, history and hospitality a trip to Greece offers.

Thanks for reading Hellenic News of America
