Greece’s Consul General in Mariupol, Manolis Androulakis, will stay overnight near the city of Uman, in central Ukraine, where he arrived on Thursday after his evacuation from the consulate general on Tuesday, said Greek diplomatic sources.
The Greek diplomat stayed in the city of Zaporizhzhia overnight Wednesday, and he will continue his journey towards Moldova on Friday morning, sources noted.
The evacuation operation of Androulakis and staff from the Mariupol branch of the Organization for Security & Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) includes several family members, and is being carried out in close cooperation with OSCE.
