Dr. Zissis Chroneos to receive the ‘Hermes Award’ on October 20th at the 30th Hermes Expo

On Sunday, July 11, 2021, Dr. Zissis Chroneos sponsored a coffee hour at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Camp Hill, PA in honor of his guest, Paul Kotrotsios, the founder and president of the Hermes Expo International. 

Dr. Zissis Chroneos has been selected to receive the annual prestigious Hermes Award on October 20, 2021, at the 30th Hermes Expo at the Grand Marquis in New Jersey.  He will accept the “Hermes Award” on behalf of the AHEPA Cooley’s Anemia Foundation, his local Holy Trinity Community, and his research team who have worked with great distinction to advance awareness and research on β-Thalassemia.

Dr. Chroneos is a Professor of Pediatrics, Microbiology, and Immunology at Pennsylvania State University (Penn State) College of Medicine in Hershey, PA.  Mr. Kotrotsios accepted Dr. Chroneos’s kind invitation with gratitude.  He was warmly welcomed by the Dean of the Cathedral, Father Michael Varvarelis as well as the parishioners.  Dr. Chroneos shared the exciting news with his church community and invited everyone to attend the Hermes Expo on October 20, 2021.
