FT. LAUDERDALE, FL – The community of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Ft. Lauderdale, FL is pleased to announce, Father Peter Zougras swore in the Parish Council on Sunday, February 28 for the ensuing year.
One newly elected Parish Council member, Anna Nicholas, joined the 12 members who remained on the board from 2020. The officers are Dr. George Georgakakis, President, Harry Tangalakis, Vice President, Garry Paxinos, Treasurer, Bill Ypsilantis, Assistant Treasurer, Karyl Zitis, Secretary and Marion Koliniatis, Assistant Secretary. The remaining board members are Larry Kirifides, Peter Kokkinos, Mona Monezis Kapakos, Philip Vias, Mark Zaden and Kathy Ziegler. Their dedication to our community, especially during this past year has been outstanding.
