On Friday, February 9, Gerapetritis will have a meeting with the US Secretary of State Antony Blinken at the State Department.

After the meeting, they will announce the start of the 5th Greece-US Strategic Dialogue, which will be attended by Deputy Foreign Minister Alexandra Papadopoulou and Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy and Openness, Kostas Fragogiannis.

During his stay in Washington, Gerapetritis will address the Wilson Center event “Our Ocean Countdown, Greece 2024: An Ocean of Potential” and participate in a discussion with the US President’s Special Envoy on climate, John Kerry.

Finally, Gerapetritis will be an official guest speaker at a Georgetown University event entitled “Challenges and opportunities: The future of Europe, the EU-US relationship, the Middle East and Greece’s Role in the global landscape.”
