“An integrated national strategy and the development of an action plan for accessible tourism is our top priority,” Tourism Minister Vassilis Kikilias said on Wednesday in an interview with the Athens-Macedonian News Agency (ANA), stressing that “we care for our fellow citizens and our visitors with disabilities and take measures as an organised state for their access to tourist destinations and businesses.”
“A very important pillar of the plan for accessible tourism are the projects to improve the accessibility of Greek beaches and related facilities, to ensure safe and easy access for all visitors to their destination,” he underlined.
“The diversification and enrichment of our tourism product with accessible tourism policies are important tools for the promotion of Greece as an accessible tourism destination”, the tourism minister underlined.
