“Deeply saddened by the news of the passing of a French soldier who lost his life during an attack on a military base in Gao, Mali,” the Greek foreign ministry posted on Twitter on Sunday. “Our sincere condolences to his family. Greece stands in solidarity with Mali and France and fully supports their efforts against terrorism,” it added.
