Hackensack Meridian Health is pleased to announce the appointment of Dorie Klissas to the role of senior vice president and chief marketing officer. In this position, Ms. Klissas will oversee the planning, development, and execution of the health network’s digital engagement, brand strategy, communications and marketing initiatives.

Ms. Klissas joins Hackensack Meridian Health from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City, where she served as senior associate dean of Marketing and Communications and also served as vice president of Marketing and Communications for the Mount Sinai Health System. Prior to Mount Sinai, she was a leader of Media and Public Relations at Montefiore Health System, as well as NYU Langone Health. Ms. Klissas is also an Emmy-winning producer who served as chief medical producer for the CBS Evening News with Katie Couric.

Ms. Klissas holds a Bachelor of Arts in European History from Harvard University. Selected as a Rotary Foundation Scholar, she attended the Diploma Program in Strategic Studies at the Graduate School of International Affairs in Geneva, Switzerland.

Beginning her career as an assistant to tennis commentator Bud Collins at the U.S. Open, Ms. Klissas also ranked nationally as a junior tennis player and remains a tennis enthusiast.
