Through GREENCROWN Energy, Lancaster Brewing’s energy management company and partner in sustainability, the brewery has secured Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) to account for each unit of electricity consumed through the end of 2020. These credits support renewable electricity production in a specific region of generation, and ultimately mean that each Lancaster beer you know and love is now brewed with renewable energy. In addition to reducing the carbon footprint of every beverage to come out of the facility, GREENCROWN has lowered Lancaster Brewing’s electricity and natural gas spend by over $35,000/year through their long-established supplier partnerships.
