Mr. George Logothetis, Executive Chairman of Libra Group and Chairman of Libra Philanthropies, had a Fireside Chat with Mr. Nicolas Bornozis, President of Capital Link, in the context of the 26th Annual Capital Link Invest in Greece Forum Series entitled “Greece – Speeding Ahead Post Investment Upgrade”, that was held with great success and participation, on Monday, December 9, 2024 in New York, in cooperation with the New York Stock Exchange, the Athens Exchange Group (ATHEX Group), and major Global Investment Banks & Organizations, and under the Auspices of the Consulate General of Greece in New York. «Goldman Sachs», «Morgan Stanley» and «TEN Ltd (Tsakos Energy Navigation)» were the Lead Sponsors.
Speaking in front of a packed room, the discussion focused on four main topics: Libra Group’s long standing investment presence in Greece, Greece’s outlook and attractiveness as a business and investment destination, and the activities of Libra Philanthropies, an independent 501(c)(3), in Greece and around the world. Mr. Logothetis also shared a few pivotal instances of supporting Greece during the years of crisis. Mr. Logothetis, and LIBRA GROUP, is one of Greece’s most loyal and longstanding investors, supporting the country and the Greek economy through the Group’s investments even during the crisis and various economic challenges.

Replying to Nicolas Bornozis’s questions, Mr. George Logothetis went on to describe, through specific examples, his long-standing commitment and experience working with government officials in the White House, global financial institutions like the IMF, and business leaders around the world, always having as his main objective to support Greece, especially during the crisis.
Mr. George Logothetis stressed the essential role young people play and their potential for change in Greece. To this point, he described the work of Libra Philanthropies, the sister organization of Libra Group. The independent foundation has helped more than 35 million people around the world and remains committed to Greece.
Libra Philanthropies comprises 10 philanthropic initiatives focusing on social impact programs, strategic giving, and independent nonprofits nurtured within the Libra ecosystem through four core activities: establishing nonprofits; catalyzing existing nonprofits; empowering leaders; funding change. Libra Philanthropies’ activities include the creation of organisations in Greece, such as Envolve Entrepreneurship and WE LEAD, as well as financial support for non-profit organisations in Greece.
He highlighted the important work of the Seleni Institute and the Concordia Summit. The Seleni Institute is the world’s most important organization for maternal and perinatal mental health and provides personal therapy and has trained over 5,000 clinicians worldwide.
