Washington, D.C. – January 19, 2025 – Kimberly Guilfoyle, U.S. Ambassador to Greece-designate, made a special appearance at a distinguished reception held at the St. Regis in Washington, D.C., hosted in honor of the Greek-American community.
Guilfoyle expressed her admiration for the community’s deep values of faith, family, and heritage. “I love the community, I love the country,” she said, calling the opportunity “a blessing of a lifetime.”
As a gesture of welcome, His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros, leader of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, presented Guilfoyle with her first Greek gift: a beautiful icon, symbolizing the cultural and spiritual bonds between Greece and the United States.
The event, held in recognition of the 60th Presidential Inauguration, brought together prominent Greek-American leaders, including:
- Archon John Catsimatidis, Vice Chair of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocesan Council
- Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis, U.S. Representative for New York’s 11th Congressional District
- Michael Rigas, Deputy Secretary of State-designate
- Stavros Anthony, Lieutenant Governor of Nevada
The evening’s program was expertly guided by Masters of Ceremonies Archon Michael Psaros, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of KPS Capital Partners, LP, and Mike Manatos, President of Manatos & Manatos.
This gathering celebrated leadership, heritage, and the enduring values that unite the Greek-American community and the broader U.S. society.
