Over 120 Greek enterprises and tourism organisations and more than 90 representatives of foreign tourism businesses are expected to take part in the renamed tourism and travel event “This is Athens – Agora”, an international meeting organised by the municipality of Athens on 7-8 April at Aegli, next to the Zappeion Mansion.
On the occasion of the 10th anniversary since the first “Travel Trade Athens”, it will this year be transformed into a dynamic event with a modern vision and will be re-named “This is Athens – Agora”. The new version is designed on “green terms” and includes a full programme that combines B2B meetings, speeches and discussions on the most up-to-date issues of tourism, as well as a social programme that highlights Athens’ authenticity.
Athens mayor Haris Doukas, in a statement, said that “This is Athens – Agora” re-establishes Athens in the international map of tourism as a destination with a modern vision. “In the new era we continue with actions of extroversion, we strengthen the city’s economy, making its sustainable growth a priority,” he said.
The platform to apply for “This is Athens – Agora” is already open at www.thisisathensagora.com and the municipality announced that those interested can take advantage of the lower participation cost if they register before February 14.
