State Representative Steve Xiarhos of Massachusetts proudly served as an Honorary Grand Marshal at the 29th Annual Greek Independence Day Parade in Boston. This year, the parade marked the 203rd anniversary of Greek Independence, commemorating Greece’s fight for freedom after nearly 400 years of Ottoman rule in 1821.
Held in the historic city of Boston, the parade brought together people from around the world to celebrate the shared values of liberty, courage, and perseverance. Representative Xiarhos expressed his pride in witnessing the unity displayed throughout the event and in the strong cultural ties between Greece and the United States.

Special thanks were given to the Boston Police Department for ensuring the safety of all attendees, and to the Massachusetts Maritime Academy Drill Team and Honor Guard for their leadership in the parade, which was a display of pride and patriotism.
