On Friday, June 6, 2025, the Hellenic University Club of Philadelphia proudly hosted its annual Scholarship Awards Dinner at the Arts Ballroom in Philadelphia. This year, 20 scholarships totaling $99,000 were offered to outstanding students of Greek descent, as well as to individuals pursuing degrees in Greek Studies, regardless of heritage.
Since its founding in 1936, the Hellenic University Club of Philadelphia has remained steadfast in its mission to promote education and cultivate a lifelong love of learning, inspired by the timeless ideals of Paideia.
In recent years, we celebrated a historic milestone: we surpassed $1 million in total scholarship awards, reaching an impressive $1,085,000 granted to over 422 deserving students since the inception of our Grant Program. These scholarships are not just financial awards — they’re investments in the future of the Greek-American community.
Many thanks to the Grand Benefactors of the event: Dimitri Dovas and Dovas Law, P.C., Dr. and Mrs. Chris Rorres, Stark & Stark and Joseph C. Antonakakis, Esq., Niki and George Tsetsekos, PhD, Mark and Christine Turner and everyone who contributed in any possible way.
The Hellenic University Club remains committed to expanding the Scholarship Program by offering more opportunities, increasing the value of each award, and supporting even more students in pursuing their academic goals.
