Hermes Expo 35th Anniversary Set for April 29, 2026 at the Grand Marquis in Old Bridge, New Jersey
Old Bridge, New Jersey — Hermes Expo International will honor Dr. Evelyn Bilias Lolis with the Athena Award during the 35th Anniversary Hermes Expo Awards Celebration on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at the Grand Marquis in Old Bridge, New Jersey.
Founded in 1992, Hermes Expo has become one of the most recognized Greek-American business gatherings in the United States, bringing together entrepreneurs, professionals, chambers of commerce, institutions, educators, clergy, and community leaders. For thirty-five years, the Expo has served as a platform for networking, collaboration, and the advancement of Greek-American enterprise.
The Athena Award, inspired by the Greek goddess of wisdom and leadership, recognizes individuals whose work reflects vision, scholarship, and dedication to uplifting communities.
Dr. Evelyn Bilias Lolis, PhD, serves as Dean of the School of Education and Human Development at Fairfield University and has spent more than twenty-five years working in the field of mental health, designing therapeutic programs and consulting with schools and organizations. Her scholarship focuses on wellbeing, connectedness, gratitude, and compassion, including her contribution to the American Psychological Association’s Handbook for Promoting Mind-Body Health.
A respected educator and researcher, Dr. Evelyn has taught graduate courses in developmental psychology, clinical assessment, psychopathology, and therapeutic intervention, earning Graduate Professor of the Year at Fairfield University in 2016. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she emerged as a leading voice on resilience and wellness, presenting dozens of seminars for schools, organizations, and corporate groups.
Dr. Evelyn is also deeply engaged in the Hellenic and Orthodox community. She serves as President of the Board of Hellenic Professional Women (HPW), where she launched the Women’s Wellness Series and founded the Woman Rising Scholarship Award. For nearly two decades, she has served the Church of the Archangels, including as Church School Director since 2008, helping guide youth in Christian and Hellenic education. In 2025, she received the Archdiocesan Servant Leadership Award in recognition of her service.
