Old Bridge, New Jersey — Hermes Expo International will honor Manny Niotis with the Business Excellence Award during the 35th Anniversary Hermes Expo Awards Celebration on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at the Grand Marquis in Old Bridge, New Jersey.
Founded in 1992, Hermes Expo has become one of the most recognized Greek-American business gatherings in the United States, bringing together entrepreneurs, professionals, chambers of commerce, institutions, educators, clergy, and community leaders. For thirty-five years, the Expo has served as a platform for networking, collaboration, and the advancement of Greek-American enterprise.
The Business Excellence Award recognizes individuals whose entrepreneurial journey reflects perseverance, dedication, and meaningful contributions to both their industry and community.
Manny Niotis, a native of the island of Karpathos, Greece, immigrated to the United States at the age of fifteen with his family in search of opportunity. Arriving with limited resources and without knowing the language, he relied on the values deeply rooted in Greek culture — hard work, honor, faith, and responsibility to family.
Beginning his career in the restaurant industry as a dishwasher, Manny worked tirelessly to build a better future. In 1979, he opened Manny’s Texas Weiner in Union, New Jersey, a beloved establishment that remains open today and stands as the longest-running business in Union. Through decades of dedication and sacrifice, Manny built not only a successful business but also a family legacy grounded in Greek values, faith, and commitment to community.
Alongside his wife Evangelia, whom he met at his brother’s wedding, Manny built a life rooted in family, love, and tradition. Today, he is celebrated not only as a successful entrepreneur but as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and respected pillar of the Greek-American community.
