Festivals and socials went on in the rainy weather of Memorial Day weekend, May 22 to May 25th. An outdoor kickoff party under the Long Island skies took place at the Transfiguration of Christ Church, Mattituck evening on Sunday, May 24th. The social event took place under the Church backyard canopy at
1950 Breakwater Rd.
A barbecue with hamburgers and hot dogs was served. Children were playing with happiness in a family setting. Tom and Dean Acoustic Sounds provided great entertainment. Kali Parea, Great Company, made everyone happy.
Father Andrew Cadieux welcomed all with a big smile. “We have a newly renovated Church hall. This Hall represents more than just a building. It is a place where fellowship will grow. Memories will be made for generations.”
The annual church festival is being planned. “ we are organizing for our festival, Friday, June 26 and Saturday, June 27. All items for our flea market are being collected through June 22. Volunteers are needed for the annual festival.” For more information email MattituckGreekChurch@gma
