Greek Foreign Affairs Minister Nikos Dendias had a “cordial meeting with Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry” in Cairo on Monday, Dendias tweeted.
The two counterparts focused “on deepening strategic Greece-Egypt relations and cooperation on the basis of a shared commitment to International Law & Law of the Sea, on situation in Ukraine, on energy and food security, and on developments in the Eastern Mediterranean, in Libya and in the broader region,” he added.
Dendias’ visit to Cairo comes in the framework of the strategic – and rapidly growing Greece-Egypt relations, added the Greek ministry in a statement.
