The Region of Epirus organized a fam trip for journalists from all over the world, focusing on the Ancient Theaters of Epirus. Journalists from England, Germany, Italy, Israel and Greece visited the Ancient Theater of Amvrakia, the Ancient Nikopolis, the Museum of Nikopolis, the Ancient Theater of Gitanas and the Ancient Theater of Dodoni. Moreover, visited Panagia Parigoritissa, which is the most important Byzantine monument of Arta.
Combining culture with tourism and collaboration with companies that produce local products, the team of journalists had the chance to eat a meal with ancient Greek and Byzantine recipes.
The Region of Epirus, in the context of the project “Networking and Promotion of Tourism of the Region of Epirus”, created the 1st Campaign on “Culture-Gastronomy”, in the first Cultural Route of the country. “By connecting our cultural heritage with the natural environment, gastronomy and small and large companies in the tourism sector visitors have the opportunity to find the hidden treasures of Epirus” was mentioned.
The Deputy Governor of Preveza and responsible for the Tourism Development of Epirus, Stratos Ioannou, stressed that the tour of the journalists is part of the strategic planning of the Region of Epirus for the simultaneous promotion of Tourism, Culture, Gastronomy and Local Products.
