Domaine Anagennisi (Renaissance) and its vineyards are situated near ancient Nemea (Valley of Nemea) in the Peloponnese, Greece. The historical region is not only famous for its ancient games, Nemea, or the Nemean Lion of the Hercules Labours, but also for the great production of Greek PDO wines. The main variety grown in the vineyards of Nemea is the famous Agiorgitiko which is used for the production of the distinctive red wine.
We had the pleasure of attending a fabulous tasting flight, otherwise known as a wine tasting. Mr Tasos Xydis , the owner, hosted us in his winery, and introduced us to the process of producing his excellent varieties of wine.
Wine with the best fruit, the difficult work, the longer ageing, the latest technology and wine expertise along with other sumptuous practices that lead to the rich, complex, luxurious, distinctive wines of the Domaine Anagennisi Winery.

We also had the privilege of admiring the personal museum of sculptures and mosaics of the winery, with the excellent works of art, crafted by the owner himself.
Combined with the wine tasting, was the olive oil degustation by Oleosophia- the Manginas Family, Marianna and Giorgos.
An eye opening, educational experience , with detailed information about the olive oil philosophy and the olive milling process. A tasty and aromatic palate experience.
We indulged our senses with a unique Greek culinary experience, delicious Giouvetsi, Chorta, Salads, each plate complimented by the right varieties of wine and olive oil.
