Congratulations to the Maids of Athena as the organization celebrated its 90th anniversary on July 5!
In 1930, Supreme Governor Thomas D. Lentgis founded the junior women’s Order in Tacoma, Washington, with 12 founding members who formed Sparta Chapter 1. Chapters spread throughout the Pacific Northwest and by 1937 there were 20 chapters chartered and membership totaled 444.
The Maids of Athena plans to celebrate the milestone anniversary as best as possible during the upcoming year.
