The request was submitted by the island’s mayor Alexandros Koliadis.
The island of Rhodes as well as the municipalities of Myrina, Atsiki and Nea Koutali on Limnos were declared in state of emergency on Monday due to the flooding provoked by the storm “Bora”, following Civil Protection general secretary Vassilis Papageorgiou’s decision.
The request for Rhodes was submitted by the island’s mayor Alexandros Koliadis.
The state of emergency in both cases will be valid from the date of occurrence of the phenomena for one month, i.e. until December 30, 2024.
