Deputy Tourism Minister Elena Rapti referred to the Tourism Ministry’s strategy aiming at sustainable tourism growth, while addressing the 6th annual conference “Greek Tourism, a national issue!”. The conference was held in Athens on Thursday.
In her speech during the “Green and Blue Economy” unit, Rapti said that “The shift to mild and sustainable forms of tourism, which allow the proper management of natural resources and the environment and highlight the special characteristics of each place, is our strategic choice. A choice that is proved in action with our policies and actions, always in cooperation with local government, the entities and the professionals of the local communities. With joint efforts and collaborations, we can establish our country as a destination of global interest, that will offer visitors quality, authentic and unique experiences, with long term and substantial benefits for local communities.
