Worcester, MA — November 2025 — Community advocate Amy Kalogeropoulos has launched the Thanksgiving Kindness Project, a charitable initiative dedicated to helping families facing food insecurity in Worcester County, Massachusetts. Partnering with the Worcester County Food Bank, Kalogeropoulos aims to provide 100 complete Thanksgiving meals for local families in need.
The project’s goal is to raise $5,000 to assemble 100 grocery bags filled with classic Thanksgiving essentials, including stuffing, mashed potatoes, canned vegetables, gravy, cranberry sauce, and a grocery gift card for a turkey or main dish. Each bag will be hand-packed and delivered before Thanksgiving to ensure every family can enjoy a full, warm holiday meal.
“Helping individuals and families facing food insecurity has always been close to my heart,” said Kalogeropoulos. “I’ve seen firsthand how much a warm meal and a little kindness can mean to a family in need.”
Kalogeropoulos and her family will personally purchase the food in bulk, organize the deliveries, and manage donations. All contributions made through Venmo (@amy-kalogeropoulos) will directly support food purchases, with any remaining funds donated to the Worcester County Food Bank.
“I was inspired by a simple act of kindness,” she shared. “It reminded me how powerful it is when a community comes together to make a difference.”
The Thanksgiving Kindness Project invites the broader Greek-American and Worcester County communities to participate in this meaningful effort. Together, supporters can help families overcome hunger and experience the true spirit of Thanksgiving, gratitude, compassion, and unity.
