Michael Papaphotes, a dedicated leader in the Greek-American community and an experienced professional in Information Technology, will be honored at the 34th Annual Hermes Expo Awards Dinner on June 25, 2025, at the Grand Marquis in Old Bridge, New Jersey.
With over 30 years of experience in the IT industry, Michael’s leadership and accomplishments make him a standout figure in both his profession and his community. Currently employed at Manatt, Phelps & Phillips in New York City, Michael has supported and managed Information Technology systems for large corporations and law firms. His commitment to empowering the Greek-American community extends beyond his professional success, which includes his work with AHEPA and several nonprofit organizations.
Michael was born in Sunnyside, Queens, and earned a BA in Computer Science and a MS in Telecommunications from Pace University. He was initiated into the AHEPA Delphi 25 Manhattan Chapter in 1998 by his father, Stratt, and later became Chapter President for 8 years. His leadership led to his role as District Governor for AHEPA District 6 and membership on the AHEPA National Board of Auditors.
In addition to his AHEPA contributions, Michael is involved with the Stageplays Theatre Company and is a passionate blues rock guitarist. He resides in Sunnyside, NY, with his mother, Bernadette, and his black Labrador retriever, Daphnee.
